On May 20, SEGA will remove its Sonic The Hedgehog, Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD games from the sale
Fans of the blue hedgehog have something to laugh yellow. SEGA announces today that it will soon withdraw from the sale the five sonic games which will constitute its next Sonic Origins compilation, and this of all the sales platforms on which it is currently possible to find them individually.
In this announcement are therefore concerned the opus Sonic the Hedgehog 1, 2 and 3, but also their suite Sonic & Knuckles and Sonic CD . Whether on PC or consoles, it will no longer be possible to acquire them individually from May 20. On the other hand, these titles will remain accessible in other compilations, such as the Sega Ages range on Nintendo Switch which will not be affected, we still have the Mega Drive section part of the subscription extension to the Nintendo Switch online where Figures Sonic 2 **.
The reason is very simple: SEGA prefers to avoid any duplicate with the titles that will compose Sonic Origins , its next compilation whose table sums up all the content, planned for PC and PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Series and Switch consoles For June 23 and for the modest sum of € 39.99.
