FC Homburg extended contract with striker Gösweiner
In January 2021, Thomas Gösweiner came from SV Elversberg to FC 08 Homburg. After 18 games in the Southwest Regionalliga, in which he scored five goals, the 27-year-old seriously injured and has been out with a cruciate ligament tear since then. The striker is currently on the way back to the team - and was rewarded for his fighting spirit with a new contract until June 2023.

The Austrian has been training fully with the team for a few weeks now. "Thomas knocks himself in again after his long suffering. His knee holds and is stable," sums up coach Timo Wenzel. Gösweiner is a worker who is doing well the team in the storm. Therefore, one is glad that he will be preserved to the team.
"I am happy about my contract extension here in Homburg. I have had a difficult year behind me, but in the past few weeks I have been able to build on my old performances in training. If I stay healthy, I am positive that it is a great next season is ", the striker, who was trained in the youth department of Admira Wacker Mödling.
